Martin 000-18 $60,000?

Just got off the phone with a guy that read me a blue book price on a 1934 000-18 Natural 14 fret 24.5 inch at $60,000The 2006 VG price guitar has that at $12,500. One of these books is not right?

Hopefully he meant either 24.9" or 25.4", since 24.5 doesn't exist. The 25.4" 000-18's are rare, and were a transitional model between the OM -18 and the 000-18. $12,500 would not be out of line in...

I have an all original 9/10 condition , transition OM to early 1934 000-18 here. And would sell it for 20K.

The 9th Edition of the Blue Book of Acoustic Guitars list a 1934 00018 in excellent condition at $8,000-$9,600. I usually think they are a little low on a lot of older guitars but they are not too far...

That is correct.The Blue Book reminds me of The New York Times,a lot of people read it, quote it, copy it, but it is mostly wrong, and that has been proven many times.
